Sister Act3: medical marijuana

And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of the Earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat. So says Genesis 1:29 but, whatever your feelings on recreational marijuana use, there is a plethora of information supporting marijuana and its components for medical use. There have been countless studies that show cannabis to positively affect a variety of health problems such as nausea, glaucoma, seizures, inflammation, and even anxiety and depression. There have been several proposed bills to legalize marijuana for medical treatment and Colorado has gone for broke, legalizing marijuana for, well…anything actually. In the meantime, The rest of us have The Spiritual Sisters, unofficial nuns who grow marijuana for medical remedies. Nuns who grow weed?? Wasn’t that a Twilight Zone episode? It’s really not that bizarre if you break it down; the Lord charges us with “caring for others as you would yourself.” Which includes helping those in need. Even if you have to break a few eggs to make that omelet.
